i am very happy but tired maid this evening as i have spent three and a half hours cleaning for my Goddess today wearing my 4" heels all that time. i was on my feet for all but 15 minutes when my Mistress so kindly allowed Her maid some lunch! Mistress Adira stated that i would be wearing my 4" heels today and it had been more than 6 weeks since i had worn them last so they felt a bit strange when i slipped my stockinged feet into them just before midday! However wearing heels is like riding a bike, once you have worn them before it remains with you forever!
my first task for today was to bring some laundry in from the outside line and then fold that laundry with the other bundle on the bed. Flding laundry can be back breaking but still it is something that needs to be done and maid marian's motto is " if you have a job that needs doing then you may as well do it well!" Once again Mistress' male cat was on the bed in the middle of the laundry to be folded so a quick play with him and he was happy and it was on with folding the towels, towels and more towels!! Feeling satisfied with my efforts i appeared before my Goddess waiting for my next instruction.
my next task was a new task for me and one which i must admit has never been one of my favourites - sweeping - i was required to sweep the carport and back verandah! Luckily for me i am over any potential embarrassment of being sprung by a neighbor or someone walking down the street so it was nice short swift strokes to get the job done. Even at this early stage my feet were beginning to ache and i had only been on my feet for no more than an hour when i was satisfied with the task and reported back to my Mistress. Sweeping is such a difficult task as you never get it perfect so i tried to bluff my way through with Mistress Adira saying there was no need for an inspection. Nice try maid marian but Mistress was having none of that sensing that i was trying to hide something. Mistress immediately strode outside and commenced Her own inspection. A few deep breaths from me and Mistress returns with a smile. That is as good as a $1,000 to me and i am very relieved that i have passed my Mistress' thorough inspection.
i now waited anxiously as Mistress potted around under the kitchen sink and in the laundry and then neatly placed my cleaning utensils for the bathroom on a tray! Mistress announced with some glee "bathroom now maid marian, everything you need should be here!" i glanced at the tray - Gumption, Mould Remover, Windex, Soap Scum remover, sponge, coarse sponge and dry towel for the glass! Yes Mistress had everything covered and off i went to the bathroom with my tray of goodies! Well what can i say, it has been a few weeks since i have cleaned the bathroom and it looked like it! This was going to take some effort to get this sparkling clean! Cleaning the bathroom is very difficult as i cannot kneel on the floor as it is too wet so it is squatting for me and this is very tough on the upper thighs. Just what i need to go with my aching balls (of my feet not the other kind Mistress) and calves!
i make good progress until i run out of Mould Remover. Oh well, too bad i thought, the other half will have to wait till next time, so i trotted off quickly to inform my Mistress that i had run out of Mould Remover and i would not be able to finish the task! Boy was i in for a surprise as Mistress must have been anticipating that as She had a new bottle of Mould Remover waiting for me, So it was back to the bathroom and more scrubbing! Eventually i managed to clean the shower and i was happy with it's appearance. By now my body was fatiguing rather quickly and i could not recall if Mistress Adira just wanted the shower cleaned today or the whole bathroom! There was only one way to find out so i pranced in with as much enthusiasm as i could to see if Mistress only wanted the shower cleaned (hoping like hell this was all that She wanted cleaned today) when i heard the words "No maid marian, the whole bathroom." Oh dear, nothing left to do but to turn around and complete the task! However as i was about to leave my Mistress's presence She announced "after you have completed the bathroom my maid may have a very short break to have some lunch." This was music to my ears so some rest was near!
The thought of a short rest for lunch was all the incentive i needed as i scrubbed the bathroom floor, cleaned the basin and mirror and everything was looking wonderful when my Mistress came in to check on my progress. "Just finished Mistress" but i knew that meant nothing as i still had to pass the "inspection" by my Mistress. Looking in every crevice Mistress was very impressed with Her bathroom and it was time for lunch! Mistress decided i could have a sausage roll for lunch and a cup of coffee. No complaint from me, not that it would have mattered what i wanted to eat, i would eat what my Mistress wanted me to eat! i cannot tell you how wonderful it felt when i sat down on the chair and took all the weight off my feet - hallelujah! It was just the greatest relief i could receive at that time!
Mistress was not going to have Her maid sitting around too long so after about 15 minutes it was back to work - vacuuming - more time on my feet. But they had recovered quite well by now so it was not too bad. Whilst i was vacuuming Mistress was busy in the kitchen doing the dishes as time was getting on and Mistress had to leave very soon. As i finished the vacuuming Mistress said one more task before you leave - you can put the dishes away. i thought how nice, my Mistress had washed and dried the dishes and just needed Her maid to put them away. Wrong - there weren't just a few dishes but a whole dish holder full and Mistress had only washed them - they still needed to be dried! Oh well i suppose i was being a bit presumptuous that my Mistress would have had time to wash and dry the dishes so i dried the dishes as quickly as i could and soon it was time to leave!
A quick check of the clock and it was 3.30 pm - i had been there for 4 hours. It is unbelievable how quickly time passes when there are domestic chores to do for a Goddess! i then realized why my feet were aching so much - more than 3 and half hours in 4" heels. A big smile came over my face as i went to my room to get changed - i was happy, very happy - being a maid is hard work but so much fun!
