Well what a very pleasant and unexpected surprise it was this morning to receive an SMS from my Goddess to say that maid marian would be required to do some more cleaning this afternoon! i arrived at 2.15pm and Mistress Adira quickly announced my main task this afternoon - polishing silverware! What a fantastic task especially for a scullery maid like me! i cannot believe how dirty silverware gets and how hard it is to clean but there is no greater feeling for a maid than to be able to see its face shining in polished silverware! i never get the opportunity to clean silverware anywhere else so it is a special task for me and one that i really enjoy doing for my Goddess. However it is not an easy task and it took me the best part of 2 hours to have all the silverware sparkling!

i must have done a good job as i was given a cake by my Goddess as a reward and a short rest before it was time to do some more tasks for my Mistress! my next few tasks were some jobs that i am getting very familiar with - washing and putting dishes away and folding and hanging laundry! i am finding my tasks far more enjoyable now as i am becoming comfortable with my tasks and i am getting plenty of practice. Now that i know where all the dishes belong it just allows me to relax a bit more and enjoy my task! i am also pleased that Mistress Adira has begun to allow me to do a task without having to be given specific instructions as to how to do it. After all i have been getting plenty of practice lately so i should know by now how to do each of my tasks like folding laundry, putting dishes away in the correct space etc.

This is an important change for me as this now allows my Mistress to get on with doing other things that are far more important than having to worry about what Her maid is doing! It has been an absolutely fantastic few days for me being required to do maid duties three days this past week - if i had my way i would do maid duties every day rather than going to my "normal" job!
